Tractor Operated Mobile Grain Dryer in Balurghat
Looking for a mobile grain dryer in Balurghat? Shomas Engineering Company, based in Dabaspete, Bangalore, builds the SGMD2000, SGMD3000 and SGMD5000 and delivers them to buyers in Balurghat and across West Bengal. One machine can serve several mills, yards and farms around Balurghat through the season.
The Shomas range gives you three batch sizes: 2000 kg (SGMD2000), 3000 kg (SGMD3000) and 5000 kg (SGMD5000) of maize per batch. All three dry paddy, wheat, maize, grains and pulses, and can take moisture down from as high as 40% to 14%.
Why Balurghat needs a mobile grain dryer
Drying demand in West Bengal peaks with the aman harvest in November and December and the boro harvest in April. As high humidity makes open sun-drying slow and unreliable, buyers near Balurghat look for a machine they can bring to the grain rather than carrying wet grain to a fixed plant. The main crops in West Bengal that buyers dry include paddy (aman and boro rice).
- Start drying paddy (aman and other grain within hours of harvest
- Tow the dryer to the mill, mandi, yard or farm with a tractor
- Remove 3% moisture per hour in paddy and wheat, and up to 5% in maize
- Finish with grain at 12% to 14% moisture for safe storage and sale
