Tractor Operated Mobile Grain Dryer in Ludhiana
Looking for a mobile grain dryer in Ludhiana? Shomas Engineering Company, based in Dabaspete, Bangalore, builds the SGMD2000, SGMD3000 and SGMD5000 and delivers them to buyers in Ludhiana and across Punjab. One machine can serve several mills, yards and farms around Ludhiana through the season.
The Shomas range gives you three batch sizes: 2000 kg (SGMD2000), 3000 kg (SGMD3000) and 5000 kg (SGMD5000) of maize per batch. All three dry paddy, wheat, maize, grains and pulses, and can take moisture down from as high as 40% to 14%.
Why Ludhiana needs a mobile grain dryer
Drying demand in Punjab peaks with the kharif paddy harvest from late September to November. As paddy often arrives at mandis with high moisture just after late monsoon showers, and the gap before wheat sowing is short, buyers near Ludhiana look for a machine they can bring to the grain rather than carrying wet grain to a fixed plant. The main crops in Punjab that buyers dry include paddy and wheat.
- Start drying paddy and other grain within hours of harvest
- Tow the dryer to the mill, mandi, yard or farm with a tractor
- Remove 3% moisture per hour in paddy and wheat, and up to 5% in maize
- Finish with grain at 12% to 14% moisture for safe storage and sale
