Tractor Operated Mobile Grain Dryer in Ongole
Ongole is listed among the rice mill and grain clusters we serve in Andhra Pradesh. Rice mills, traders, farmer groups and agri-businesses in and around Ongole can buy a Shomas Tractor Operated Mobile Grain Dryer directly from our Bengaluru factory and dry paddy, wheat, maize, grains and pulses at the mill yard, the procurement point or the farm.
The Shomas range gives you three batch sizes: 2000 kg (SGMD2000), 3000 kg (SGMD3000) and 5000 kg (SGMD5000) of maize per batch. All three dry paddy, wheat, maize, grains and pulses, and can take moisture down from as high as 40% to 14%.
Why Ongole needs a mobile grain dryer
In Andhra Pradesh the busiest drying period is the kharif and rabi paddy harvests and the rabi maize season. During this time coastal humidity and cyclone rain raise the risk of wet, discoloured grain. For buyers around Ongole that means grain often has to wait for sun, floor space or a free slot at a fixed dryer. The main crops in Andhra Pradesh that buyers dry include paddy and maize.
- Start drying paddy and other grain within hours of harvest
- Tow the dryer to the mill, mandi, yard or farm with a tractor
- Remove 3% moisture per hour in paddy and wheat, and up to 5% in maize
- Finish with grain at 12% to 14% moisture for safe storage and sale
